We may update the database that manages the assets for better performance.  If upgraded EDIUS build includes newer version of the database, please note on below things:

1. Database migration

Newer database (DB) may be incompatible with older DB. In this case, upgraded AssetStore automatically starts DB migration as soon as it’s running.
If you start EDIUS while running DB migration, below dialog will appear.

Please wait for completing DB migration. The dialog will disappear as soon as completing DB migration and EDIUS will start.

2. Database compatibility

EDIUS is backwards-compatible with older DB. Previous assets are migrated to newer DB. On the other, EDIUS doesn’t have upper-compatible with newer DB. Updated DB content cannot be used if EDIUS build is downgraded.
AssetStore creates snapshot of older DB while migration. If you downgrade EDIUS build, it starts with the snapshot.
