This knowledge base instructs procedure to reset the EDIUS Hub

If an issue that may relate to render job and / or job monitor still remains, resetting EDIUS Hub may be helpful
NOTE: Ensure that you have attempted suggested troubleshooting in separate FAQs (Related content)

IMPORTANT NOTE

Once you take informed steps, asset store database will be erased. This means that each of your project need to registered to the database again. It may take few time to open each project first time.

Once the EDIUS Hub is reset, all stored data that are managed by EDIUS Hub will be lost.

If your system is EDIUS Hub eco system, stored data will be restored by syncing Chorus Hub.

– Be sure if queued or ongoing job is (are) not listed in GV Job Monitor. If exists, cancel or wait for finishing the job.

– Stop or uninstall third party anti-virus software. If necessary, reinstall or start it after confirming starting EDIUS successfully.

 

Procedure:

1) Sign into the OS with administrator privileges

2) Open Task Manager then go to [Services].

3) Right-click on each of below service then select [Stop]

EHApiGatewayService
EHApplicationHost
EHAssetStore
EHConfigStore
EHIdentityService
EHMessageService
EHRenderService
EHSyncService

4) Open C:\ProgramData\Grass Valley folder

5) Rename EDIUS Hub to EDIUS Hu_

6) Restart the OS

 

Commissioning

Once reinstallation of EDIUS finished, confirm if required servcies and processes to be running of background render service including the Job monitor – see the FAQ more details
