I would like to downgrade EDIUS to earliver version. How I can do it?

TERMINOLOGY:
‘Version’ means EDIUS generation like EDIUS 11, EDIUS X or EDIUS 9. These are different version This knowledge base navigates way to downgrade EDIUS.
  
Prerequisite:

1. In EDIUS 11 and X, ensure if queued or ongoing job is (are) not listed in GV Job Monitor. If exists, cancel or wait for finishing the job. Also, quit EDIUS, Mync (or both) if running.

2. Support strategy depends on downgraded EDIUS version. If downgraded version is EOS, we will not provide tech support.

 

Preparation:

1. If you use third party plug-in, get the installer of applicable version.

2. Setup third party video hardware if you use downgraded EDIUS 

 

Procedure:

1) Sign into the OS with administrator privileges

2) From Apps & features, uninstall below programs

EDIUS 11 EDIUS X or earlier

– EDIUS 
– Mync 

– GV License Manager

– EDIUS *
– GV License Manager
– Mync *

* Untick “Deactivate the license” option while uninstallation. 

3) Open C:\ProgramData\Grass Valley folder – If currently installed version is EDIUS 9 or earlier, jump to step#5

4) Rename the folder

EDIUS 11 Reanme Chorus Hub to Chorus Hu_
EDIUS X Reanme EDIUS Hub to EDIUS Hu_

5) Restart the OS

6) Run the earlier version installer

7) Install third party plug-in.

8) If downgraded to either below, upgrade GV License Manager before license activation – details here
