New Features

EDIUS

– Added a new video filter “Auto Color Correction”
*Analysis starts when the filter is applied.
*Analysis result will be kept until re-analysis is initiated from the settings dialog. The video will not be analyzed automatically even if is is changed by operations such as changing the order of effects.
*If an Auto Color Correction filter applied to a timeline clip is copied to another clip, color correction will be performed based on the analysis results of the source clip.
*It cannot be set as a child filter of other filters, such as Mask filter.

– Supports thumbnail view in the Mync window
– Optimized file I/O during progressing a rendering job to improve performance
– “Sort” context menu is now able to be opened from both clips and blank areas of the Bin windows
– Added [Show only External Buckets] option to “Amazon S3 account” dialog to reduce project opening time (EDIUS Cloud only)

Mync

– Added a confirmation dialog when deleting an item
– Optimized the order of the dropdown list items in the search settings pane for each language
– “Sort” context menu is now able to be opened from both assets and blank areas of the Thumbnail pane
– Added a checkmark to the sub menu of the “Sort” context menu to show the current election

Fixed or Improved Issues

EDIUS

– There is a case that no clip is shown in the Bin window when display mode is Tile (SFDC00888962)
– It is terribly slow to operate sequence clips that consist of many XDCAM clips and have many markers (SFDC00896971)
– The cursor keys cannot change the selected item on the Folder view
– If show/hide of the Folder view or the Properties view is switched with the space key, the width of the view does not change at all
– When In or Out point of a clip is dragged in the Player, the value of the In or Out point of the clip keeps changing for a while in the Bin window
– For the same marker set on an audio clip, there are cases that the timecode shown in the Clip Marker List and the timecode shown in the Properties view differ by one frame due to differences in rounding
– When there are clips sharing the same source material, there are cases that changing a property which should be shared among them from a clip on the timeline does not reflect to all of them
– Rarely undeletable clips are created in the Bin
– In the Mync window, there is a case that only 50 assets are deleted even if hundreds of assets are selected for deletion
– Joining clips that are being transferred as a sequence clip causes high-resolution video to go offline (SFDC00884834)
– “Sort” context menu has sort items that have no effect such as Thumbnail
– EDIUS works slowly during a waveform cache creation job is in progress (SFDC00900028)

Mync

– Making the size of thumbnails larger in the Thumbnail pane causes the select asset to frame out
– The cursor keys cannot change the selected item on the sidebar of the sidebar for the [Management] tab
– When open the Offline Asset List from the [Projects] node, the list appears incorrectly if there are lots of projects
– There is a case that only 50 assets are deleted even if hundreds of assets are selected for deletion
– There is a case that changes to column settings in the Thumbnail pane revert unexpectedly
– “Sort” context menu has sort items that have no effect such as Thumbnail

Known Issues

EDIUS

– Values set to key frames are not displayed properly on the timeline pane of effect settings of OpenFX plug-ins
* Values themselves are set properly
– Alpha channel is not applied correctly when using some video filters and transitions in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– Video filters of the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in do not work properly for sequence clips
– Loading presets does not work properly on some video filters in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in
– When doing Consolidating Project, “Remove unused clips in Timeline” option does not work
– In interlaced projects, clips with OpenFX plugin effects applied appear as striped images in proxy mode or during draft preview
– Wrong images are sometimes inserted during playing a clip with an OpenFX plug-in effects applied if the frame size of the clip is smaller than the current project’s frame size
– During Title Insertion Mode, the selected clip in the Bin window is not loaded to the Player automatically
– Timecodes added to an audio clip is different between the Bin window and the Player if the TC mode of the project is changed
– Stabilizer filter is ignored if file export is started before completion of analysis by Stabilizer
– When a still sequence clip is offline, the clip does not appear on the “Restore and Transfer Clips” dialog and the Properties dialog cannot be opened for it
– EDIUS crashes when BCC FX Browser in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is applied to a clip
– EDIUS freezes when an OpenFX plug-in of Boris FX shows a license expiration warning dialog
– Markers deleted with Mync remain on EDIUS
– Converting sequence clips fails
– EDIUS freezes when the setting dialog of S_DissolveStatic in the Boris FX Sapphire plug-in is opened
– EDIUS freezes when the settings dialog of Polarizer in the Boris FX Continuum plug-in is opened in the secondary monitor
– At some effects of Boris FX Continuum plug-in, some slider bars on their settings dialogs do not work properly
– Occasionally EDIUS will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– When closing a project, EDIUS does not ask whether you want to save the project if you have worked in the Bin window only
* This issue only affects new unsaved projects because changes to the Bin are always automatically saved
– Extra clip markers appear for a nested sequence
– If there are many assets in the library of Mync, the overall editing performance of EDIUS will decrease
* Note that all clips that are registered to a project at least once will be automatically registered to the library of Mync regardless of whether the project is saved or not
– When editing a clip in the Properties view, in rare cases after selecting an input field, keystrokes are treated as shortcut keys instead of entering text
– If “Proxy” is selected in the “Checked Out Source Files” during checking out a project, and if the checked out project is opened at the same PC from which the project is checked out, the clips in the original project will be changed to refer the proxies in the checked out project as their own proxies
– Multicam Sync does not work properly if the Sync Point is “Audio (Around the Marker)”
– If a project is deleted from Mync or the Mync window even though the project is open in EDIUS, the Bin contents will be lost from the project file once it is saved
For workaround, When deleting a project from Mync or the Mync window, make sure the project is not being opened in EDIUS
– EDIUS only registers the first file to the Bin when a P2 spanned clip is exported with [Add to Bin] option
For workaround, Register exported P2 spanned clips to the Bin from the Source Browser instead of using [Add to Bin] option

Mync

– Mync 11 bundled with EDIUS 11 Broadcast does not play Dolby Digital (AC-3), play Dolby Digital Professional (AC-3) nor Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) audio
– When the first launch of Mync 11 after upgrading from Mync X or EDIUS X, occasionally the database migration dialog does not appear automatically
For workaround, Select “Database Migration…” from the Help menu to migrate database
– Occasionally Mync will not work properly after switching the Windows account without signing out
– The operation area of the Preview pane appears in the wrong position depending on the display settings
– QuickTitler files cannot be registered to Mync directly and registered files via EDIUS are shown in low resolution
– [Color Space] and [Color Range] of certain assets are shown as “Unknown” in the properties pane
– If a project is deleted even though the project is open in EDIUS, the Bin contents will be lost from the project file when EDIUS saves it
For workaround, When deleting a project, make sure the project is not being opened in EDIUS
– There is no way to delete assets used in EDIUS project templates
