How I can preview a video on installed video hardware while editing timeline?

Activate the video hardware in EDIUS system settings. Follow below steps:

1) Select Settings > System Settings > Hardware > Preview Device

2) Tick installed video hardware – in below picture, tick STORM 3G – Output

*To deactivate the hardware, untick the hardware name.

3) Select required options depends on your workflow:

Option Description
Use Pulldown Format when Available Give priority to preview / export by pulldown if pulldown to commonly used formats (59.94i/50i/59.94p/50p) is possible. Check it when you use a monitor not supporting 23.98p/29.97p/25p display.
Display a warning message when the selected device does not support the current format Warning appears if current project format is not supported by installed video hardware.
No conversion Video is not converted to be output to the video hardware – no video is output from the hardware.
Converted to format supported by device EDIUS converts a video in order to preview on the hardware

4) Click [Apply] > [OK].

5) Confirm if you can preview a footage on the video hardware.
