You are allowed to install up to two different version of EDIUS between X, 9 and 8 by following combination:

– EDIUS 8 and 9
– EDIUS 9 and X

NOTE: Combination of EDIUS 8 and X is not supported

Notes on using multiple EDIUS simultaneously:

1. Upgrade EDIUS
Upgrade both EDIUS to the latest build.

2. Project compatibility
EDIUS project has upper compatibility.Project created by earlier version of EDIUS can be loaded in later version of EDIUS. Once you save project in later version of EDIUS, saved project cannot be opened in earlier version of EDIUS (project does not have lower compatibility)

　
3. OFX Plug-in Bridge
If you need to use OFX Plug-in Bridge on both EDIUS, keep to install the OFX Bridge for earlier version of EDIUS and install the OFX Bridge Plug-in after finishing installation of later version of EDIUS.

　　
4. 3rd party effect plug-in
Install 3rd party effect plug-in that supports each version of EDIUS. Both must be installed after each of EDIUS installation. 

　　
5. Upgrade edition
You are not allowed to use upgrade edition of later version of EDIUS for this workflow. For example, if you need simultaneous use of EDIUS X and 9 in same PC, purchase EDIUS X normal package. If you purchase EDIUS X Upgrade and activated, you are no longer able to use EDIUS 9
