How I shall configure EDIUS on first time starting?

This knowledge navigates how to confirgure EDIUS on first time starting.

Once you finished license activation and eID login, take below configuration:

1. Specifiy project location

2. Create / Select project preset

3. Use video hardware as preview device


1. Specify project location

1) Folder selection dialog will appear. Click [Browse] button
2) Specify project location then click [OK] button

 

2. Create / Select project presets

EDIUS 11

1) Click [New project] button.
2) Enter project name.
3) Select project preset. If necessary, tick ‘Customize’.
4) Click [OK] button. 
5) If you tick ‘Customize’ in step#3, 
select project format that you need to use for editing then click [OK] button.

– Resolution
– Frame rate & scan type (either interlaced or progressive)
– Video depth
– Numer of audio channel

 

EDIUS X or earlier

1) Click [New project] button
2) Project preset creation wizard will start. Select project format that you usually use for editing. 

– Resolution
– Frame rate & scan type (either interlaced or progressive)
– Video depth
– Numer of audio channel

3) Click [Next] button
4) Created preset will be listed. Click [Complete] button
Select created preset then click [OK] button to start editing project

 

3. Use video hardware as preview device

If you installed supported video hardware, follow the steps to use it:

1) Select Settings > System Settings > Hardware > Preview Device
2) Tick installed video hardware
3) Click [Apply] then [OK] button

On subsequent running of EDIUS, you don’t take above steps. From start up screen, start a new project or open existing project if you have.
