An error occurs when I log into eID (EDIUS ID) to start EDIUS. How do I solve it?

This knowledge base navigates troubleshooting for eID log dialog that appears while starting EDIUS

 

An error occurs while logging into eID

Error The application is not installed correctly. Re-install the application.
Cause Registry entry of eID server information might be incorrect.
Solution Uninstall and re-install EDIUS (License deactivation and re-activation is not required).

 

Error The PC clock is not correct. Check your PC clock.
Cause The PC clock might be out of sync.
Solution Check and adjust the PC clock.

 

Error

Internet access is required to use this version. Please connect this system to the internet.

Cause Allowed period of offline use expired. (30 or 60 days) *
Or, failed to connect to internet when starting EDIUS Subscription or Trial.
Solution Connect PC to internet then restart EDIUS.

 

Error

The license is invalid. Please contact Technical Support.

Cause The validation check for the EDIUS license might have failed. Or, the associated EDIUS license might have expired in Flexera.
Solution Grass Valley to confirm activated license status using the Flexera console.

 

Error

Web authorization required. This application will stop working in 30 or 60 days* if there is no web authorization. Please connect this system to the web. (warning message)

Cause PC has not been connected to the internet for more than 15  or 30 days*
Solution Connect PC to the Internet then launch EDIUS.
If this is done after expiring allowed term of offline use, you will be required to repeat the Flexera license activation process.

Allowed period of offline use
This depends on product version:

EDIUS 11, X (10.30 or later): 30 days – “Web authorization” warning appears when 15 days passed

EDIUS X (10.21 or less), EDIUS 9, 8, 7 and 6.5: 60 days – “Web authorization” warning appears when 30 days passed

 

I forgot password

Follow below steps:

1) Visit eID web page then click Forgot your password? Password reset page will appear. Keep to open this page.

2) Six digit verification code will be sent to the email address you registered as your eID. Note down the code.

3) Go back to password reset page and enter the code, new password, password (for confirmation). Once entered, Click [Send].

4) Password update successfully message will appear. Close it then login by entering new password.

noreply@grassvalley.com will send six digit verification code.

– The verification code sent will be valid for 1 hour. If expired, follow the steps from beginning.

 

I forgot email address
If you forgot e-mail address, contact Grass Valley technical support along with your EDIUS serial number.
