For security improvement, older communication method that GV License Manager uses be no longer available on May 18, 2022. The communication method is only used in below older version of EDIUS.

– EDIUS 8 (Build: 8.00.0089 – 8.25.1420)
– EDIUS 7 (All build)
– EDIUS Pro 6.5, Elite, Neo 3.5 (All build)

Resolution
Download newer build of GV License Manager then upgrade it

Steps to upgrade
Required steps depends on your situation

New or reinstallation of EDIUS

1) Double-click EDIUS installer and follow the installation wizard.
2) Upgrade the GV License Manager – run newer build of GV License Manager installer.
3) Activate the license.

EDIUS application already installed – but license activation fails

1) Upgrade the GV License Manager – run newer build of GV License Manager installer.
2) Activate the license.

Deactivate the license

1) Upgrade the GV License Manager  – run newer build of GV License Manager installer.
2) Deactivate the license.

If you want to remove EDIUS, from Apps & features, remove EDIUS. Untick “Deactivate the license” option.

NOTE
This affects to both on-line and off-line license activation / deactivation
