1. Copy to local drive
If you try to load a file from network drive, any network or storage issue may make the issue. Copy the file to local drive then load it to EDIUS (load to the Bin). If succeeds, resolve network or storage issue.

2. Install third party codecs
Installing third party codec may be helpful like for able to load CR3 file

3. Enable / disable hardware decoder
If your file is H.264 or H.265 and your processor supports Intel Quick Sync Video (QSV), enable or disable it in EDIUS System Settings. Once done, try to load the file

1) Select Settings > System Settings > Importer / Exporter
2) Go to AVCHD (H.264) or HEVC (H.265) due to your file format
3) Tick or untick the option in order to be opposite settings
4) Click [Apply] then [OK]

4. Enable QuickTime option (Only in EDIUS 9 or 8)
If your file is .mov, download and install QuickTime Essentials – see the PDF more details. Once done, follow below steps:

– EDIUS X doesn’t support the QuickTime Importer as designed

5. Load video stream file
If the editing material file tree constructi0n, EDIUS may not be able to detect the tree construction correctly. Try to video stream file to the Bin or Timeline
