EDIUS rejects loading several type of QuickTime files
When I select QuickTime file for loading to the Bin or placing onto the timeline, EDIUS rejects selected file.

QuickTime for Windows worked in EDIUS to handle QuickTime files. But it no longer works due to EOS (End Of Support) and vulnerability issue. From EDIUS 8.22.623, below format are not supported

– Still Image File Formats: Flash Pix; JPEG2000; Mac Pict; QuickTime Image
– MOV Video File Formats: 3GP; 3G2; M4V; QuickTime RLE (Animation) or some MOV file formats
– Audio File Formats: MOV (other than Linear PCM and AAC); QuickTime Audio
– Exporting to H.264 MOV clip for AAF file export

Workaround

EDIUS 8 and 9
Install QuickTime Essentials then change EDIUS system settings – here is more details

EDIUS X
There is no workaround in EDIUS X. Because, installing and using QuickTime Essentials is not supported by EDIUS X. Convert the QuickTime file to supported file format before loading to EDIUS
