Symptom you may encounter:

1. Export button disappears or appears to be inactive – click here for troubleshooting
2. File export doesn’t start
3. File export progress is stucking
4. Printed file has invalid footage or audio

Troubleshooting:

NOTE: Below are all troubleshooting relate to file export. You may need to pick up some troubleshooting (=you may need to skip some steps) due to reported situation.

1. Confirm file system & drive space of destination
Confirm if destination has enough free space. If you export long lenght timeline and it fails, also confirm if you select the destination that is formatted by FAT by mistake

2. Export to local drive
If current destination is network drive, change to local drive for narrow down.

3. Use other exporter
For example, if you use MPEG2 MXF exporter and file export fails, try to other MXF exporter for narrow down (try same series exporter firstly). If it still fails, use other series exporter.

4. Use normal export
If you state a problem on batch export, try normal export.

5. Export in another client
If your system is network editing system, try to export same timeline in another client.

6. Use EDIUS standard exporter
If you use third party exporter, try export using EDIUS standard exporter. If export succeeds by switching to EDIUS standard exporter, reported issue should be investigated by exporter developer.

7. Disable ‘XRE’ option
If the XRE server typically renders the timeline, try to export by unticking ‘XRE’ option.

8. Troubleshoot for not running of background render service (Only EDIUS X)
