If license validation fails (including activation or deactivation), try to restart GV License Manager by following steps:

1) Make sure that if EDIUS / Mync is quit.

2) Open GV License Manager (select Exit context menu) from the notification tray at the bottom right of the desktop of the workstation.

3) Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc key to open Task Manager

4) Go to [Services]

7) Select Start > Grass Valley > GV License Manager  

8) Make sure that GV License Manager stays in the Task Bar notification area
