EDIUS license validation fails with #2F19 error

You may encounter below issue with this error code

– EDIUS / Mync fails to start
– eID log in fails

Likely causes

1. EDIUS PC clock is wrong

2. Certificate revocation blocks license validation

3. Access resource for proxy server doesn’t work (only using ‘Use proxy server’ option)

Troubleshooting
Prerequisite – IMPORTANT
If you use EDIUS X, follow below steps before trying the troubleshooting

1) Open GV Job Monitor (Start > Grass Valley > GV Job Monitor)

2) Be sure that no job is being queued or ongoing. If exists, wait for finishing or cancel it (them)

3) Quit GV Job Monitor. Also quit EDIUS app if running

4) Open GV License Manager (select [Exit] context menu) from the notification tray at the bottom right of the desktop of the workstation.

1. Fix PC clock
Fix EDIUS PC clock. Typically, right-click on the clock the notification tray at the bottom right of the desktop of the workstation then select [Adjust date/time] context menu.
 

2. Turn off checking certificate revocation
Once checking certification revocation is turned off, GV License Manager will be able to validate the license via selected proxy server.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This may affect to another software or violation of company security. If you inform this way to customer, ask to confirm if customer has no risk.
Open GV License Manager (select [Exit] context menu) from the notification tray

1) Press the Windows key + R then type inetcpl.cpl and click [OK].

2) Go to [Advanced] tab then Security tree pane.

3) Untick ‘Check for publisher’s certificate revocation’
NOTE: If * mark appears next to the option text, Windows MUST be restarted after step#5

4) Click [OK].

5) Select Start > Grass Valley > GV License Manager to run GV License Manager

Run EDIUS. If eID log in appears, enter eID and password then click [Log in] button
   

3. Use proxy server in Internet Options
Turn on use proxy server settings in Internet Options instead of GV License Manager settings 

1) Open GV License Manager (select [Settings…] context menu) from the notification tray at the bottom right of the desktop of the workstation.

2) Untick ‘Use proxy server’ then click [OK] button

3) Open GV License Manager (select [Exit] context menu) from the notification tray

4) Press the Windows key + R then type inetcpl.cpl and click [OK].

5) Go to [Connections] tab then click [LAN settings] button.

6) Tick ‘Use a proxy server for your LAN…’ then fill out address, port number

7) Click [OK] > [OK] button

8) Select Start > Grass Valley > GV License Manager to run GV License Manager

Run EDIUS. If eID log in appears, enter eID and password then click [Log in] button
